WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.howard-bison.com) - The Howard University women's soccer team attained its first goal of the season on Wednesday, Aug. 22 in an evening contest against Loyola (Md.).
Senior Cynthia Snyder put HU on the board in the first half, following Loyola's goal within in the first five minutes of play. Snyder attained her goal off a stolen ball from the Loyola offense.
After Loyola's goal in the first half, the Lady Bison defense held Loyola scoreless through double overtime.
The mighty blue and white returns to action on Friday, Aug. 24 to take on Rider University in Lawrence, N.J., The contest is slated for 5:00 p.m.
