The Howard women's soccer team played Youngstown State close on Sunday climbing back from a deficit, but the Lady Bison could not overcome the Penguin rally and lost 4-2 in the season opener at Greene Stadium.

Head women’s soccer coach Brent Leiba announced the team’s schedule today. The Lady Bison will in 17 games this season, nine of which will be played on the home field at Greene Stadium.

Women's Soccer Joins Great West Conference
The Howard women's soccer program has joined the Great West Conference as an associate member for the 2009-10 academic year. HU joins Delaware State and South Carolina State as new members of the eight-team league. Houston Baptist, NJIT, North Dakota, South Dakota and Utah Valley are also in the conference.
