Bison Netters Fall to Hampton in MEAC Action

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Hampton defeated the Howard tennis teams with both squads falling 5-2 at the Banneker tennis courts.
The Pirates won all three doubles matches and four of the six singles matches to post the win on the men's side.
Howard's Christopher Brown defeated Sung-kwon Baek 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and Neilabh Avasthi took down Quintin Logan, 6-2, 6-7, (10-8) for the two Bison victories of the day.
HU dropped to 0-9 on the season and 0-2 in conference play with the loss.
The women's squad saw individual wins from Alyssa Works and Whitney Ambush. Works defeated Maya Morgan 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles and Ambush defeated Janelle Small 8-4 at the No. 6 singles.
The women's squad fell to 3-3 and 1-1 in MEAC play with the loss.
Howard returns to action on Wednesday, April 2 with the men facing off with UMBC in Baltimore. The Lady Bison travels to Fairfax, Va. for a matchup against George Mason on Tuesday, April 1.
