Marin Wins No. 5 Singles as Lady Bison Fall in MEAC Quarterfinals
RALEIGH, N.C. - Laura Marin defeated Florida A&M's (FAMU) Lenice Boyd at No. 5 singles but it was not enough as Howard fell to Florida A&M, 4-1 in the MEAC Tennis Tournament in Raleigh, N.C.
Marin downed Boyd 6-3, 6-0 for the only Bison win of the afternoon. Aja Wright fell 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and Alice Izomor took down Jasmine Smith 6-2, 6-4 at No 2 singles. Michele Gee was blanked 6-0, 6-0 by FAMU's Sarah Brinkley and Alyssa Works dropped a 6-3, 3-4 decision to Latreece Olagbegi.
