Moore Wins No. 1 Singles at Longwood

FARMVILLE, VA. - Freshman Ashley Moore defeated Zsofia Jakab at No. 1 singles during play versus Longwood on Saturday. The Lady Bison dropped the match, 6-1.
Moore won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 singles
and improved to 8-8 on the year.
Alyssa Works was defeated by Laura Simon, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 singles
while Jackie Esquerra defeated Michelle Gee 3-6, 6-1, 10-5 at
No. 3. Whitney Ambush was downed by Ashley Melson 7-5, 6-0 at No.
4. Lauren Fenn lost to Mason Davis at No. 5 singles, 6-1,
6-2.
Works and Gee lost 9-7 at No. 1 doubles and Moore/Fenn teamed up
for an 8-4 victory over Davis and Melson at No. 2.
Howard hosts Morgan State in its final conference matchup tomorrow.
