TOWSON, MD. - Towson took down Howard, 7-0 in a non-conference women's tennis matchup on Thursday in Towson, Md.

In the closest decision of the day, Michele Gee was edged 4-6, 6-1, 12-10 by Aandria Carr at No. 3 singles. Caitlin White took down HU's Ashley Moore at No. 1, 6-2, 6-0 and Alyssa Works fell at No. 2, 6-0, 6-0.

Whitney Ambush and Lauren Fenn fell in singles action at No. 4 and 5, respectively.

Doubles action was more competitive with Works and Gee narrowly falling 9-7 at No. 1. Moore/Fenn were also edged 9-7 at No. 2 doubles.

Howard (2-8) is off for two weeks before returning to action on March 25 with a home matchup against George Mason.
