WASHINGTON, D.C. - Sophomore Michelle Brown (Los Angeles, Calif./Georgetown) and freshman Brittney Morgan (Beverly Hills, Calif./Beverly Hills H.S.) swept the weekly MEAC tennis honors, the league announced today.

Brown was named the MEAC Tennis Athlete of the Week for the fifth time this season while Morgan earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors for the sixth time.

Brown was 3-0 in singles action last week to aid the Lady Bison to their first-ever northern divisional title. She won in straight sets against Maryland Eastern Shore (6-0, 6-1) and Delaware State (6-0, 6-1) and captured a three set victory over Hampton (3-6, 6-2, 6-2) at the number one singles position.

Morgan improved to 11-2 with wins over Morgan State, Delaware State and Hampton during action on March 29-April 4.  She won all three games in straight sets playing at the number two singles position.

Howard hosts Longwood on Saturday, April 10. First serve is slated for 1 PM at Banneker Courts.
