Annapolis, MD- The Howard University women's tennis team (2-6) took a hard hit with a loss against Navy (9-4) this past Saturday.
Although it was a close match with a final 3-4 score, the Lady Bison fell to the blue and gold.
Howard was successful in winning the doubles point, with Katelyn Stokes and Michelle defeating Amanda Griffin and Erin Snook of Navy at the number one double spot. (8-2) Unfortunately, the Lady Bison were only able to snag two singles wins.
Sophomore and California native, Brittney Morgan pulled out a tough three set win against Navy's Emani Decquir (5-7, 6-4, 6-3). Also obtaining a victory was Howard freshman, Katelyn Stokes, who defeated Navy's Stefanie Ton (7-5, 6-4).
The Lady Bison lost only one doubles match as Brittney Boucher and Darien had a 8-4 win over Alyssa Works and Ashley Moore.
