Washington, DC- The Howard University women's tennis team (5-7) continues to be a force to be reckoned with. The Lady Bison defeated the Radford University Highlanders (2-8).
Howard took an early lead capturing the number two and three doubles wins, thus gaining the overall doubles point.
The Bison got a strong start during the singles competition. Anne Akhimien claimed a win against Radford's Emerald Lauzon at the number six singles position. The success continued at the number two singles position when Brittney Morgan defeated Mia Drobjiak (6-3, 2-6, 8-1). Michelle Brown also claimed a straight sets victory at the number three position (6-1, 6-3).
