WASHINGTON, D.C. - Howard blanked Coppin State, 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-15) and completed a season-sweep of the Eagles Sunday afternoon at Burr Gymnasium. HU improves to 3-3 in league action while CSU dropped to 0-6.
The Bison held the Eagle offense to a 0.49 hitting percentage (22-18-81) while Howard hit .361 (36-10-72) from the floor.
Gazelle d'Artois registered 12 kills, eight assists, five digs and two blocks for HU and Tosin Elebute added nine kills while hitting .615 (9-1-13).
The Lady Bison served up 12 aces against the Lady Eagles and Aisha Ledet led the way with a career-high seven.
Nicole Brown tied the game-high with 12 digs and Jasmine King had a match-best 21 assists.
Keri Partridge led all players with five block assists as Howard held a 14-6 advantage in total blocks.
Howard is off for five days before hosting Morgan State on Friday, Oct. 30 at 7 pm.
