Gazelle d'Artois Named MEAC Player of the Week

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Outside hitter Gazelle d'Artois (Newhall, Calif./Hart H.S.) was named the MEAC Player of the Week, the league announced today. It was the second straight week that d'Artois has won the honor.

d'Artois recorded 20 kills while hitting 34-percent from the floor in a 3-1 non-conference win over Winston-Salem State. d'Artois added a season-high four aces and posted six digs in the victory.

The junior posted her second 20-kill total of the season and helped HU to its third consecutive win.

Freshman setter Jasmine King (Rex, Ga./Chamblee H.S.) was an honorable mention selection after tallying 49 assists, her second-highest output of the season.

Howard travels to Easton, Pa. for a matchup against Lafayette on Tuesday.
