Lady Bison Fall in Four Sets Against American

Washington, D.C. – The Lady Bison started strong, edging American University 25-23 in the first set, but fell 25-16, 25-16, 25-12 in the next three sets en route to a 3-1 loss at Burr Gymnasium Wednesday night. Howard is back in action on Fri Sept. 17 when it travels to Annapolis, MD to participate in the Kristen Dickmann Memorial Tournament.

Tosin Elebute led the offensive attack with nine kills, while Jiyana Brown and Gabrielle Martin had eight kills apiece. Kari Partridge went 6-for-8 for a .625 hitting percentage. Nicole Brown recorded a team-best six digs on the defensive end. Jasmine King assisted on 20 of the 35 total Lady Bison kills.

The Lady Bison travel to Annapolis, MD to participate in the Kristen Dickmann Memorial Tournament where they will take on Maryland-Eastern Shore at 4 p.m. on Friday followed by the host U.S. Naval Academy and America East opponent Hartford at noon and 2 p.m., respectively on Saturday.
