Volleyball Still Searching for a Win

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Howard University volleyball team traveled to George Washington Colonials (3-0) in hopes of handing them the first loss of the season. The Bison were unsuccessful as the Colonials swept HU 15-25, 11-25 and 19-25 Tuesday night at the Charles E. Smith Center.
Tosin Elebute was two digs shy of a double-double, finishing the game with 10 kills and eight digs. Stephanie Shultis lead the team with nine assist and an additional seven came from Jasmine King.
GW's, Lauren Whyte had game high with 12 kills and 4 digs. Kelsey Newman had eight kills and five digs. Katie Crosby also had game high with 28 out of the Colonials 35 assists. Candace Martin-Silva led all players with 11 digs.
HU next serve up will be September 2 at 5 pm against the Binghamton Bearcats in its first matchup at the UConn Toyota Classic.
