Towson Tigers Take Lady Bison in Three

TOWSON, MD – The Lady Bison (1-14) fall to the Towson Tigers (13-4) in three sets at the Towson Center Tuesday night at 7 pm.

Set scores for the match were 26-28, 12-25, and 15-25. The Lady Bison were up the first set, but couldn't close it out. The Tigers snuck their way to gain the first set win and rode that momentum into sets two and three.

Offensively for the Lady Bison Tosin Elebute led her team with 12 kills and six digs followed by freshman right side Stephanie Shultis with five kills, seven assists and seven digs. Taylor Johnson and Gabrielle Martin both put down three balls for the Lady Bison. Jasmine King finished with a total of 10 assists.

Defensively, Riana Cain picked up eight digs for the Lady Bison. Howard finished with three blocks to Towson's two blocks.

For Towson, kills were distributed amongst the Tigers. Alysha McCreary and K. Sawaniewicz led their team with nine kills a piece followed Katy Buck and Dayane Van Ass both for eight. Susan Gansor finished with five and Aubrey Kirven finished with six and 24 assists for the match. Bibiany Fonseca finished with twelve assists.

The Lady Bison await conference play next week with Delaware State on Sept. 27.
