Howard Cross Country Finishes Eighth, 10th at Penn State

Results 

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The men's and women's cross country teams ran to 10th and eigth-place finishes, respectively, at the Spiked Shoe Invitational hosted by Penn State on Sept. 29.

Senior Jessica Neal led the way for the Bison women and crossed the line in 23:38, good for 21st overall. Freshman Ashley Hodges was not too far behind and finished 25th in 24:11.

Brittany Jackson crossed the line in 26:07 while Tamila Myles and Azalia King finished in 26:07 and 26:54, respectively.

Charisse Bullock completed the 6K course in 27:57 and Christina Debianchi finished in 29:37.

The Howard men were paced by Thurman Sanders, who finished 35th overall in 29:09. Michael Gallion crossed the line four seconds later in 29:13 and took 37th while Jerod Franklin completed the course in 29:54.

Richard Williams (30:51), Rashard Nelson (31:25), Jamin Lundy (31:58) and Andre Williams (32:41) all crossed the line for Howard.

The Bison will take a week off before heading to Newark, Delaware for the Delaware Invitational on Oct. 13.
