Howard men take third at JMU Meet
NEW MARKET, VA. - Thurman Sanders finished 10th overall and paced the Howard men's cross country team to a third place finish at the James Madison Open Meet on Sept. 15.
Sanders crossed the line in 27:56.4 and was the highest men's finisher for the Bison. Michael Gallion (28:17.3) took 13th while Jerod Franklin was not far behind and took 14th in 28:21.7. Richard Williams also finished in the top 20 for Howard after finishing in 30:05.6.
The Lady Bison took fifth in the team standings with 142 points. Ashley Hodges was 18th in 20:44.1 while Jessica Neal crossed the line in 20:56.5, good for 21st overall.
Howard returns to action this weekend at the Cappy Anderson Meet on Sept. 22.
