Bison Run at the Blue Hen Classic

NEWARK, DEL. - The Howard men's and women's cross country teams headed to Delaware on Saturday to compete in the Blue Hen Classic. The race, hosted by the University of Delaware, was held at the White Clay Creek State Park in Newark, Del. and was the last regular season meet for HU.

Howard's men's team finished the meet 7th out of the nine teams competing while the Lady Bison placed 6th overall.

Thurman Sanders was the top finisher for the men and took 11th in 26:47.33. Sophomore Ashley Hodges was tops on the women's side, crossing the line in 15th (19:36.93).

Hamadi Price (29:34.58), Richard Williams (29:44.64), George Johnson (29:59.46) and Andre Williams (30:25.70) also competed for HU.

Jami Hardy finished the race for the Lady Bison in 20:41.37. Lauren McNary crossed the line in 21:29.56, while Tamila Myles (21:43.53), Brittany Jackson (22:09.15) and Azalia King (23:45.09) all took the course for Howard. Amelia Woodruff (26:11.22) also ran the course for HU.

The Bison are back in action this weekend at the MEAC Championship on Oct. 25 in Princess Anne, Md.
