Howard Competes at Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge

WILLIAMSBURG, VA. - The Bison traveled to Williamsburg, Va. on Saturday to compete in the Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge with competitors from Tennessee, William and Mary, American, Norfolk State, Hampton, Longwood and Christopher Newport.
The Bison men were competitive on the rain soaked course but finished sixth overall in the team standings. Among the HU top finishers were senior Thurman Sanders (27:49.5) and Michael Gallion (28:16.3), who placed in the top 50. Sophomore Peter Gentles who came in 62nd with a time of 29:34.2.
Although junior Ashley Hodges placed 26th out of 83 (22:23.3), the Bison women came in last place.
Howard returns to action on Sat., Oct. 3 at the Mason Invitational in Centreville, Va.
