NEWARK, DEL. (www.howard-bison.com) – The Howard University men's cross country team finished the University Blue and Gold Invitational in first place with 25 points on Friday, Oct. 12 in Newark, Del., hosted by the University of Delaware.
"Just as they started out by winning the first cross country meet at Delaware State, our men's squad won their first regular-season cross country meet in good fashion at University of Delaware," said head cross country coach Curtis Pittman.
HU's Elisha Metto came in 1st at 25:06, while Giovani Mowatt came in 3rd place (25:37), Elly Rono (25:52) followed in 4th place, Aaron Harrison (26:06) came in 6th, and James Carey (26:41) came in 11th.
The Bison scored 25 points to defeat West Chester(48) and Mt. St. Mary's(49).
